• About Master Builders NSW Training Department

    The Master Builders Association of NSW (Master Builders) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 6163) and offers nationally recognised qualifications and courses across New South Wales (NSW) which meet nationally endorsed industry standards. Pathways to qualifications include full training and assessment, assessment towards Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), gap training, and Continuous Professional Development (CPD).  Master Builders’ Education Centre in Norwest Business Park, Baulkham Hills, offers training facilities that meet industry specifications so that skills gained reflect building industry needs.

    Smart and Skilled Subsidised Training Programs Available

    Master Builders has a contract with the NSW Government (Department of Industry) to be able to offer and provide training and assessment programs under the government's Smart and Skilled program.

    Subsidised courses are available throughout NSW under the Smart and Skilled Program. Find out if you are eligible for the course of your choice on the Smart and Skilled NSW Website.

    Master Builders can offer courses from within multiple streams under Smart and Skilled:

     - Apprenticeships and Traineeships - Master Builders offers apprenticeship training in Carpentry, Bricklaying/Blocklaying and Civil Construction, as well as traineeships in Business qualifications

     - Full Qualifications - for people undertaking a full qualification, where the training is not under an apprenticeship or traineeship

     - Partial Qualifications - for training programs that provide a defined skill outcome, but is not a full qualification

    The staff of Master Builders Training Department is also available to answer enquiries related to funded courses.

    Students may be required to pay course fees for subsidised courses.

    Participant Handbook

    This Participant Handbook is designed to help inform you of the policies and procedures that Master Builders and its participants agree to follow. This is to ensure that you receive quality products and services as well as an understanding of the content and regulations that govern all parties under the VET Quality Framework. 

    Unique Student Identifier (USI)

    Any person in Australia who is undertaking a vocational education and training qualification or course is required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). All students applying to undertake a course with MBA NSW MUST supply their USI on their Enrolment Form.

    Obtaining your USI is a quick and easy process - go to www.usi.gov.au. The process only takes 5 minutes of submitting your application for your USI, you will then receive an email with your details.
